1. Meeting with Mr Sopheak Sok, the Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the Chief Executive’s Policy Unit (CEPU), met with Mr Sopheak Sok, the Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, who was visiting Hong Kong, to exchange views on the development opportunities in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.


Mr Sopheak Sok, the Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, visited Hong Kong and met with Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and his research team.

2. Meeting with Mr Song Shuguang, Chairman of the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, together with two deputy heads, namely, Dr Wang Chunxin and Mr Nicholas Kwan, met with Mr Song Shuguang, Chairman of the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, and his delegation to exchange views on different issues such as Hong Kong’s role in the Belt and Road Initiative.

3. Meeting with Ms Chen Liwen, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province (GDHKMAO)

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, met with Ms Chen Liwen, Director of the GDHKMAO, to exchange views on various issues relating to the promotion of high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

4. Attending a seminar organised by the Policy Research and Innovation Office, CPC Guangzhou Nansha Zone Working Committee (the Policy Research and Innovation Office)

Dr Wang Chunxin, Deputy Head of the CEPU, and his research team visited Nansha, Guangzhou to attend a seminar organised by the Policy Research and Innovation Office and exchanged views on issues including strengthening the Hong Kong-Nansha co-operation and policy innovation.

5. Visiting the Institute of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Development Studies, Sun Yat-sen University

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, visited the Institute of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Development Studies, Sun Yat-sen University and discussed with Professor He Junzhi, Dean of the Institute, areas of future collaborations.

6. Meeting with Mr Frank Jannuzi, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, met with Mr Frank Jannuzi, President and CEO of The Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation, to introduce the latest developments in Hong Kong.

7. Meeting with representatives of the World Resources Institute (WRI) and Civic Exchange

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Mr Nicholas Kwan, Deputy Head of the CEPU, met with Dr Fang Li, Country Director of the WRI China, Mr Lawrence Iu, Executive Director of Civic Exchange, and their teams to discuss various studies in the Mainland and across the World on sustainable development.

8. Meeting with representatives of technology enterprises in Shenzhen including the Shenzhen Unity-Drive Innovation Technology Co. Ltd. (UDI)

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Dr Wang Chunxin, Deputy Head of the CEPU, visited a number of technology enterprises in Shenzhen including the Shenzhen UDI, which was founded by Professor Liu Ming, Director of the Intelligent Autonomous Driving Centre of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

9. Attending an international symposium on primary healthcare

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, attended an international symposium themed “Primary Care Ecosystem: Integrated Care for Successful Ageing” organised by the City University of Hong Kong with the Chinese University of Hong Kong as the co-organiser. Dr Wong delivered a speech at the luncheon, and exchanged with leading experts on primary healthcare attending the event to gauge their views on related matters.

10. Discussing the overall tax policy of Hong Kong with tax specialists of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce (HKGCC)

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, together with two deputy heads, Ms Hinny Lam and Mr Nicholas Kwan, met with Ms Agnes Chan, Deputy Chairman of the General Committee of the HKGCC, and Mr Wayne Lau, Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the HKGCC, to discuss the overall tax policy of Hong Kong.

11. Attending mega arts and cultural events - Art Basel Hong Kong and ComplexCon

Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, attended two mega arts and cultural events held in Hong Kong - Art Basel Hong Kong and ComplexCon. The ComplexCon was an international pop-culture festival debuted outside the United States in Asia. Ms Angelle Siyang-Le, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong, and Mrs Bonnie Woo, CEO of Complex China and the founder of ComplexCon Hong Kong, gave Dr Wong guided tours and shared their views on ways to further develop Hong Kong into an East-meets-West Centre for International Cultural Exchange.

12. Exchanging with industry players participating in the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART)

The FILMART was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), and gathered industry players home and abroad. Dr Stephen Wong, Head of the CEPU, and Mr Stephen Liang, Assistant Executive Director of the HKTDC, listened to the exhibitors’ views on how to promote the trading of Hong Kong’s film and television cultural products.
